PeerSubmit allows organizers to easily edit form fields after they have been added to a form. Editing fields helps update labels, modify options, change field settings, or improve the structure of the form.

You can edit any field in the form builder without affecting previously collected responses.

Step 1: Open the Form Builder

To edit form fields, first open the form editor.

  • Log in to your PeerSubmit organizer account.
  • Go to the Forms section from the dashboard.
  • Select the form you want to modify.
  • Click Edit to open the form builder.

Step 2: Select the Field to Edit

Once the form builder opens, you will see all fields currently included in the form.

  • Locate the field you want to modify.
  • Click the Edit or Settings icon on that field.
  • The field configuration panel will open.

Step 3: Modify Field Settings

You can update various properties of the selected field.

  • Field Label – Change the question or label shown to users.
  • Description – Add instructions or additional information for users.
  • Placeholder Text – Provide a hint inside input fields.
  • Required Setting – Mark the field as mandatory if users must complete it.
  • Options – Add, remove, or update options for dropdown, radio, or checkbox fields.

Step 4: Save Your Changes

After making updates to the field:

  • Click Save to apply the changes.
  • The updated field will immediately appear in the form.

Optional: Reorder Form Fields

You can also rearrange the order of fields to improve the form layout.

  • Drag and drop fields to change their position.
  • Group related fields together.
  • Remove fields that are no longer needed.

Editing form fields allows organizers to refine their forms and ensure participants provide accurate and relevant information.
