Updated on 10 March 2026When submitting a research paper to a conference, authors often collaborate with multiple researchers. PeerSubmit allows authors to easily add co-authors during the submission process so that every contributor receives proper recognition for the research.
The platform provides a dedicated step in the submission workflow where authors can enter the details of all contributors, including the primary author and additional co-authors.
Step 1: Open the Author Details Section
During the submission process, authors will reach the Author & Co-author Details step after selecting the conference track.
- Enter the primary author information.
- Provide contact details and affiliation.
- Ensure the primary author is correctly identified.
The primary author will usually receive all communication related to the submission.
Step 2: Add Additional Co-authors
Authors can add multiple collaborators by clicking the option to add another author.
- Click the Add Author or Add Co-author button.
- Enter the co-author’s full name.
- Provide their institution or affiliation.
- Add their email address if required.
This process can be repeated until all contributors to the research paper have been added.
Step 3: Verify Author Order
In many academic disciplines, the order of authors is important because it represents the level of contribution to the research.
- Ensure the primary author appears first.
- Review the order of all co-authors.
- Confirm that names and affiliations are correct.
Accurate author information helps maintain proper attribution in conference proceedings and publications.
Best Practices for Adding Co-authors
When adding co-authors to a submission, it is recommended to follow these best practices.
- Add all contributors who participated in the research.
- Verify spelling of names and institutional affiliations.
- Confirm the correct author order before submitting.
- Ensure the primary author’s email address is correct for communication.
Properly listing co-authors ensures transparency, recognition, and accurate records in conference submissions.
Next Step
After adding all authors and co-authors, the next step is to provide manuscript details such as the paper title, abstract, keywords, and upload the research file.
