PeerSubmit supports personalization tags that allow organizers to automatically insert recipient-specific information into emails. Personalization makes emails more relevant and engaging by addressing recipients directly using their details.

Instead of sending the same static message to everyone, personalization tags dynamically replace placeholders with the recipient’s information when the email is delivered.

What Are Personalization Tags?

Personalization tags are placeholders inserted into email templates. When the email is sent, these placeholders are automatically replaced with the corresponding contact data.

  • {name} – Inserts the recipient's name.
  • {first_name} – Inserts the recipient's first name.
  • {last_name} – Inserts the recipient's last name.
  • {email} – Inserts the recipient's email address.
  • {organization} – Inserts the recipient's organization or institution.

Step 1: Navigate to Email Templates

  • Log in to your PeerSubmit organizer dashboard.
  • Go to Email Campaigns from the sidebar menu.
  • Click Templates to open the template library.

Step 2: Create or Edit an Email Template

  • Click Create Template to create a new template.
  • Or select an existing template and click Edit.

Step 3: Insert Personalization Tags

Inside the email content editor, insert tags where dynamic information should appear.

  • Place the cursor where the personalization should appear.
  • Insert the appropriate tag (for example: {name}).
  • Continue writing the email content around the tags.

  • Click Save Template.
