PeerSubmit allows organizers to configure how the peer review process works for their conference. These settings control reviewer assignments, evaluation criteria, review workflow, and how submissions are evaluated by reviewers.

Configuring peer review settings properly ensures that submissions are evaluated fairly, reviewers are assigned efficiently, and the review process runs smoothly.

Step 3: Open CFP Settings

Peer review configuration is available inside the conference Call for Papers (CFP) settings.

  • Click CFP Settings in the sidebar.
  • Navigate to the Review Settings section.

Step 4: Configure Review Settings

Organizers can configure several aspects of the peer review process.

  • Reviewer Assignment – Assign reviewers manually or automatically.
  • Number of Reviewers – Define how many reviewers evaluate each submission.
  • Review Deadline – Set the deadline for reviewers to complete their evaluations.
  • Evaluation Criteria – Configure scoring criteria used by reviewers.
  • Decision Workflow – Allow program chairs to accept or reject submissions based on reviews.

Step 5: Save the Settings

Once the peer review configuration is complete:

  • Click Save to apply the changes.
  • These settings will apply to all submissions in the conference.

Best Practices for Peer Review Settings

  • Assign at least 2–3 reviewers per submission.
  • Set clear evaluation criteria for consistent scoring.
  • Provide enough time for reviewers to complete evaluations.
  • Monitor review progress regularly to avoid delays.

Properly configured peer review settings help maintain research quality and ensure that submissions are evaluated fairly and efficiently.
